With practically no wind on the beach & anything up to what felt like F6 or 7 on the outside, kit choice was never going to be easy. I went for 5.5m sail on the 112 Kode, hoping the extra volume would get me over the waves going out. It did, but then I was getting flattened once out. Either that, or tail-walking.

I stupidly persisted with this until I could take no more and switched down to the 86l wave board. Easier on the outside, but a struggle to get out. Several rinsings followed. Being a W coast sailor, I struggle on starboard tack :(

That said, it was good fun getting out, gybing & trying to catch a wave coming back in: The wind was perfectly cross-shore. Pity it was so cool for the time of year.

Just found this link to the gallery of the photographer who was taking loads of photos at Marazion on Sat (including one of me - the most boring one!)...
